These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of applerepairtech.com (the "Site") and the on-site Apple repair and consulting services (the "Services") provided by Skylab Studio LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site or engaging us for Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Independent provider — not Apple Inc.

Apple Repair Tech is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by Apple Inc. "Apple", "Mac", "MacBook", "iPhone", "iPad", "iCloud", and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc., used here for descriptive purposes only.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, republish, or redistribute Site content without our prior written permission. You may not attempt to interfere with the Site's operation, security, or other users.

3. Informational content disclaimer

Articles, guides, and blog content on the Site are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not professional advice for your specific device or situation. Following any procedure described on the Site is at your own risk. You should back up your data before attempting any repair or change to your device. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or data corruption resulting from your use of Site content.

4. Service terms

For on-site or remote Services, the following applies in addition to any written estimate or invoice:

  • Backups. You are responsible for backing up your data before any Service. We strongly recommend a current backup; we will help create one on request as part of the Service.
  • No guaranteed outcome. Computer repair and data recovery involve inherent risk. We make no guarantee that any device can be repaired or that data can be recovered.
  • Honest assessment. If we believe a repair is not worth the cost, we will tell you. If an issue can be resolved by phone, there is no charge.
  • Third-party parts and software. Replacement parts and software are subject to the warranties (if any) of their manufacturers or publishers, not ours.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECT WILL BE CORRECTED.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SKYLAB STUDIO LLC, ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skylab Studio LLC and its representatives from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

9. DMCA notice

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a written notice including the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to: michael@applerepairtech.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice".

10. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising under these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Nevada County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site or Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
